PIPE BEDDING DESIGN

Scope
Pipe Bedding Design calculates the loadings on any pipe diameter at any given depth throughout a variety of trench widths and location types. S104 (Sewers for adoption) . Applying for S104/S102 or S185 , PBD provides printed schedules of the pipe bedding design as required and accepted by all water authorities. Importing data. The ability to import data directly from third party hydraulic design software programs such as 'WINDES' results in only a single button press to complete the calculations, providing an almost instant design for any project without the requirement to enter data manually. World wide use. PBD's proven methods of calculating loadings are suitable for world wide use and now (version2) includes user definable Transient loadings, giving the option to design pipes anywhere from airports to freight terminals.

Pipe Line Designer
The pipeline designer enables simple data entry for each pipeline to be calculated, requiring only the minimum of information including cover and invert levels, pipe diameter and lengths, in order to produce detailed detailed loading calculations at every meter chainage. Automated interpolation . PBD automatically interpolates ground an invert levels for each chainage of each pipeline. Fixing ground levels . The ability to fix ground level at ay chainage along the pipeline allows the user to accurately define the ground level. e.g. where the pipeline crosses an embankment. PBD will then automatically interpolated the remaining levels. Minimum depth settings . PBD allows the user to specify a minimum depth setting and associated bedding factor to be applied when depths fall below the chosen depth.(1.2m as default in accordance with sewers for adoption, specifying full concrete surround). Transient Loadings . The new transient loading editor now includes loadings for standard Field, Light road, Main road and RU rail designs, and allows the user to define traffic loadings for any given land use. These may include airports, freight terminals, dock sites etc. A fully detailed report can be printed to support the design calculations. Pipe size range . As with the transient loadings, a standard pipe size database is provided within the software which includes all british standards. This database is fully customizable, allowing the creation or modification of any pipe details for use within the software. World wide use. PBD's proven methods of calculating loadings, together with the ability to modify all aspects of the software in accordance with local requirements ensure the software is suitable for world wide use. Producing reports. PBD provides fully detailed printable reports in various formats, that can be exported to EXCEL or saved as a PDF document without any third party software.
